Contents
1. Warm-up
Aims: Attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and lead in the new lesson.
Rock-paper-scissors game:

T prepares the handouts of
Teacher’s Resource Book 41.

T has Ss work in pairs to ask and
answer using Present Continuous to
describe what people are doing in
the picture.
-
After finishing, they play rock-
paper-scissors. The winner can write
one point on their paper.
-
Ss swap their partners when T says
‘SWAP’.
-
At the end of the game, Ss count
their points to find the winner.
- Example:
A: My turn. Tom and James are
playing cards.
B: It’s correct. Rick is listening to
music.
2. Set objectives
Aims: introduce the objectives of the lesson with a can-do statement.
