A. Objectives:
1. Knowledge: - By the end of the lesson, students can write a paragraph to express an opinion.
2. Skills: Listening for gist and listening for details about ways of spending time with friends or
leisure activisties.
3. Attitude: Educate the student the skills on taking up what leisure activity.
B. Preparation:
- Materials: Students’ books, teacher’s book, laptop, speaker and projector
- Method: T- WC, individual work, pair work and group work.

III. New lesson
1. Listen and answer (Ex2 – 5’)
* Set the scene: You are going to listen to a
radio programme.
? Run through the questions in 2 P13 and
underline the key words.
? Think of the answers first.
- Teacher gets Ss' prediction and write on the
board.
? Play the recording and ask Ss to listen and
check their prediction.
- Read the questions and think of the answers.
Key:
1. The topic of this week’s programme is
‘hanging out with your friends.’
2. There are two main ways: hanging indoors
or outdoors.
2. Listen and complete the table (10’)
- Play the recording again for Ss to complete
the table.
Get feedback from Ss the answers and then
give corrections if necessary.
Ss work individually then compare answers
with their partner.
