I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to pronounce the /
æ/ sound correctly, identify that sound in some words and also revise all the
vocabulary and grammar points in Unit 3.
1. Knowledge:

Pronunciation: the /æ/ sound

Vocabulary: routine verbs, verbs collocations, Free time activities, pets,
feelings

Grammar: the Present Simple.
2. Competences:

Groupwork and independent working, pair work, linguistic competence,
cooperative learning and communicative competence
II. Teaching aids:
1. Materials: textbooks, PowerPoint slides
2. Equipment: TV, projector, loudspeaker
III. Procedure:
1. Checking: Integrated into the warm-up activity.

1. Warm-up
Aims: to attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and review the previous lesson.

and asks each group will write
