1. Warm-up
Aims: to attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and review the previous unit.

T puts Ss into 4 groups.

choose a word from the previous
unit and spell it backward.

Ss from other groups will try to
guess the word. If their guess is
correct, they win a point, but if
their guess is incorrect, the other
groups should continue to guess
the word.
