Mr Wilson, tell me about Wild

Park.

Mr Wilson

It’s a small zoo. We

haven’t got very big animals like

elephants or giraffes. Our

biggest animals are the sun

bears over there. They can grow

to seventy kilos.

Janet

Those black bears? They’re

beautiful! Can we go near them?

Mr Wilson

Oh no, we can’t! It’s not

safe. They’re very strong. Here,

come into the Insect House.

Janet

OK. Wow! Look at these

butterflies!

Mr Wilson

Yes, all our visitors love

them. Look – those small blue

ones are called Miami blue

butterflies. They’re very rare.

They’re the rarest animals in the

zoo.

Janet

Right. And what’s in that white

building? There are a lot of

children over there.

Mr Wilson

We call it the Pet House.

Let’s have a look … all the

animals in here are friendly and

safe.

Janet

Oh, there are rabbits! They’re

pretty.

Mr Wilson

There’s a snake here, too.

It’s not dangerous …

Janet

Aargh! No! I don’t like snakes!
