Andy There was a great tennis match on

TV last Saturday, Karen.

Karen

I know. I watched it, too! It was in

New York, right? And Tony Williams

won. He was brilliant!

Andy He was. Tony’s my favourite player.

You know, he started playing tennis

when he was six years old!

Karen

That’s right. His mum was a

famous tennis player, and she helped

him. He learned a lot from her.

Andy Right. And he won his first

competition at the age of eleven.

Karen

I first saw him when he was

sixteen. Do you remember? He won

a silver medal at the Olympics.

Andy Yes. After that, he became really

famous.

Karen

Where does he live? In London?

Andy No. He was born in London, but he

moved to Spain two years ago. He

lives in Barcelona now. But he travels

a lot.

Karen

I suppose so. Tennis stars like him

compete all over the world. He was

in New York last week, and before

that, he was at a competition in

Paris. What a life!
