Task 1
From past to present, many deep prejudices about women have always been maintaining and even dominating a variety of standards about occupations, positions, and chances for women. However, Zaha Hadid – a British Iraqi architect – has pierced those prejudices, which differed her from any other women. In terms of architecture, Hadid became the first woman to gain great achievements that many male architects can not, much less other female architects. She developed more complicated and organic shapes that are considered to take their inspiration from the patterns of biological tissue and globular shapes of cells. Sharon Johnston believed her to charted new territory for all architects with her vision. She has constantly been the only woman to have won the Pritzker - the architecture’s most renowned prize - in 40 years, and the Royal Gold Medal during 168 years. Without her, some fields would have been undertaken by all males. What is more, she was the first crackerjack female starchitect, whose fame and artworks resonated way beyond the architectural community. She is claimed to be the pioneer among women in the area dominated by males. Also, she has a big influence on the ideology about gender and ethnicity in society. The sexism in all aspects of life listed by the author might hinder many women but Hadid eventually overcame and was willing to help other breaks through the glass ceiling. With a strong personality, she faced up two other difficulties: being a foreigner and doing nonnormative work. She extended the abilities of women and showed how much more ground women have yet left to cover. This later supported women to make significant gains in architecture. Due to her enterprise, unlike trivial things other female colleagues did, her proposals were disproved and even disparaged right from the outset, which made her achievements became more and more challenging and precious. Last but not least, she did not represent the traditional women. Without marriage, she donated her life to working as a real architect, not a woman. She was straightforward, brilliant and at no time did she ask anyone for approval for her decisions. In conclusion, I agree that she donated more wonderful architectural contributions than any woman at the same time.

Task 2
Renowned for her avant-garde search for architectural proposals that reflect modern living, Zaha Hadid made abstract topographical studies for her projects, through paintings. The Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art was, and remains, one of the largest and most dynamic contemporary art galleries in the United States. It made Hadid famous as the first woman to design an American art museum. The success of the building was primarily determined by the similarities between her abstract paintings and her actualized proposal.
