I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to
- say where things are by using prepositions and everyday objects
- listen for specific information to complete the text with prepositions
- draw and write sentences about their pictures
- have a habit to arrange everything tidily.
II. LANGUAGE FOCUS:
- Vocabulary: words related to prepositions and everyday objects
- Structures: be + preposition
III. TEACHING AIDS:
- Textbook: Friends Plus 6 – Starter Unit – Lesson 3 (p.8)
- Pictures and songs used to teach vocabulary and warm-up
- Laptop, projector/TV
- Audio track 1.05, 1.06
IV. PROCEDURES:

ACTIVITY 1: - Have Sts open their books to page 8 (Ex1) - Ask Ss which of these things they can see in their classroom. - Explain some new words if necessary New words: 1. Poster (n)-show picture 2. Drawer (n)- show picture 3. Mobile phone (n) - show picture 4. Clock (n) - show picture 5. Dictionary (n) - show picture 6. Coat (n) - show picture 7. laptop (n) - show picture - Have Ss work in pairs to check the answers. - Let Ss listen to the tape and check then practice reading these words. |
