I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to write about a
daily routine.

1. Checking: Integrated into the warm-up activity.

Contents
1. Warm-up
Aims: to attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and review the previous lesson.

T asks Ss to work in groups of 4 to
make a list of what they do every
day in order in 3 mins.

The team with more activities in
order is the winner.
Review of talking about daily
routines.
Suggested answers:
I wake up at 6 o’clock every morning.
Then I go to school and have lessons
at school.

2. Set objectives
Aims: to introduce the objectives of the lesson with a can-do statement.

I can write a short paragraph about a daily routine.
3. Pre-writing
Aims: to study the writing sample and provide language and appropriate
structures to write about daily routines.
Set the scene:

T tells Ss to look at the map and
the photo.

T asks Ss to identify the country
where the red flag is situated and
to describe what they can see in
the photo.

Ss answer

T asks Ss if they would like to
travel there and why.
