Contents
1. Warm-up
Aims: Attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and lead in the new lesson.
Brainstorm
- T asks Ss to work in groups of 3.
Each group thinks about 3 different
kinds of music. T might elicit some
common music types from Ss.
- For each kind of music, each
student takes turns to write an
adjective to describe it. Ss have 2
minutes to complete the task.
- When all the groups finish, T can
call one student to read his/her list
of adjectives. Other groups guess
the kind of music that is being
described.
- Suggested answers:
● rock: loud, noisy
● pop: popular, trendy, relaxing
● classical: beautiful, relaxing
● traditional: old, slow
