T cuts each handout into 14-word
cards about jobs.

Ss work in pairs. Each student
receives 7 cards.

The first student takes a card and
describes his/her job in 2 sentences.

The second student guesses the
words. He/She can guess twice.

T listens and supports if necessary.

Suggested dialogue:
A: Who am I? I work outdoors. I
save people’s lives.
B: Are you a firefighter?
A: No, I’m not.
B: Are you a lifeguard?
A: Yes, I am.
