Lesson 1: Hello and the Alphabet
- Objectives:
- Knowledge: - By the end of the lesson we need to be able to: Greeting, self- introduce and learn the Alphabet.

- Develop Students speaking and listening skills.

- Sentence Partners: Hello/ hi. I’m + name. Nice to meet you. How are you? I’m fine, thanks you. And you?
- Vocabulary: Hello, hi, I, am, nice to meet you, how, are, fine, thanks, and.

- Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, board, pictures
- Students’s: books, notebooks,workbooks.

Warm up Say Hello to the class and introduce yourself, using Hello. I am + name. Walk around the class to say Hello again to some pupils and ask them to answer.
Say hello/ hi Ask students to answer: What’s your name? How do you spell your name? To understand more about how to spell your name, today I will teach you the Alphabet.
Ask students open your notebook and write the contents.
Teach vocabulary: Hello Hi Note: difference between Hi/ Hello. Hi is very informal. Pupils can use with friends but not with an a dult, example: a teacher. Hello is also informal and friendly but more formal than Hi. It can be used with teachers and other adults. Ask students listen and repeat the alphabet.
Ask students how to spell your name. Teach students 2 structures:
My name is ……
That is _ _ _ _
Ask students to focus on the structures once again. Retell the content of the lesson.
