Lesson 1
I. Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
- Greet and self – introduce
- Develop speaking skill
- Pronounce correctly letter B and the accompanying words
II. Procedures

1. Warm – up: chatting - Ask student some questions about their daily life (maybe in Vietnamese) - Tell student to try to introduce him/herself in English (2-3 sentences) 2. New lesson Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat - Tell student about the situation: Mai and Nam are greeting each other. - T play the audio for student twice - Practice the dialogue with student - Elicit the structures by asking student speak out the model sentence: Hello, I’m Mai Hi, Mai. I’m Nam. => Hello/ Hi. I’m/ My name is … + your name Nice to meet you. Hi = Hello I am = I’m My name is = My name’s - Make a conversation between Teacher and students base on structures. Activity 2: Listen and choose - Give student instruction: listen to the audio then put the tick on the right picture. - Check and show answer
PRONUNCIATION - Introduce the letter and how to pronounce it: Bb - /b/ - Show 3 words that start with b and let student listen from the audio 2 -3 times - Tell student to repeat few times - Check understanding about the meaning of 3 words. - Let student practice these words in sentences. 3. Summary: - Consolidate the content of the lesson - Learn and write new words and structures - Home work |

- Pronounce correctly letter H and the accompanying words
II. Procedures

1. Warm – up: Do the conversation in Lesson 1 2. New lesson Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat - Let student listen to the conversation between Nam and Mai - Role-play to practice the conversation - Elicit structure for student How are you? I am / I’m fine,thank you/ thanks. And you?
Vocabulary:
- Let student practice these words few times. Activity 2: Fill in the blank. - Tell student to read the conversation and choose the right work to put in the blanks. - Check and show answer - Practice the completed conversation Activity 3: Listen and number - Help student to point out the characters in the pictures. - Play the recording 1 – 2 times. - Check and show answer
PRONUNCIATION - Show the words starting with h - Tell student to repeat few times - Check understanding - Let student listen and practice these words in sentences Activity 4: Match - Tell student to focus to the words starting with letter b and h (which are in red color) and match - Show answers. - Let student practice all the sentences one time
