I. Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
- Gain more vocabulary related to sports/ game
- Ask and answer about activities in break time
- Pronounce correctly /bl/ and /sk/
II. Procedures

1. Warm – up: - Free talk: + Ask student about his/ her favorite color + ….. 2. New lesson VOCABULARY - Brainstorm for student: + Ask student what activities student often does in break time at school (in Vietnamese is fine) - Teach student new words - Ask student repeat - Check understanding Activity: Look, listen and repeat - Play the recording for student to listen to the conversation - Do role – play to practice conversation - Elicit structure for student + What do/ does + S + do at break time? => S + play (s) + sport/ game (s) Activity: Point and say - Show example to help student practice - Let student practice with pictures a – d by structure (T asks, S answers) PRONUNCIATION - Help S understand how to pronounce /bl/ - Ask S to repeat few times - Show words to help S practice - Do the same with /sk/ Activity: Let’s talk - Give student 2 minutes to observe the picture and all the activities that children are doing - Explain new activities if needed - Point at random activity in the picture 1 – 5 (use different subjects) + What do they do at break time? + What does she/ he do at break time? - The, ask S about himself/ herself Activity: Listen and tick - Play the tape for S to listen - Ask S to tick on the right pictures - Check Activity: Look, listen and write - Ask S to read through the paragraph quickly then underline words that S doesn’t know - Explain new words if needed - Require S to read the paragraph and fill in the blanks - Check - Ask S read the paragraph out loud 3. Summary: - Consolidate the content of the lesson - Learn and write new words and structures - Home work |
