INTRODUCING THE BOOK
I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

- - Know about the structure of new book: English 3
- Understand more about the importance of learning.
2. Competence:
-Communication, ability to use language (work in groups, talk about greeting)
-Ability to solve problems (play the games)
-Cooperation: (work in groups/ pairs)
- Using language to greet and self- introduction.
- Using knowledge to do exercises
3. Quality:
- Students be more friendly and confident in communicate with their friends and other people.

- Listening and speaking

- Communicative approach, games activities, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, discussion group, technical present.

The form of book. - English book of grade 3 is divided into 2 volumes, with 20 units of lessons and 4 lessons of review. - Episode 1 has 10 lessons revolving around 2 close communication topics: me and my friends, me and my school. - Episode 2 has 10 lessons revolving around 2 themes: Me and my family, me and the world around. Each topic is divided into 5 lesson units, after 5 lessons 1 review. + Each unit is divided into 3 lessons, studied in 6 periods. + Page 4, 5 are the summary of vocabulary, sentence structures and sound part to practice in each lesson. + Pages 74 to 79 are new words and explain new words. *Activity 2. The instruction in the book. - Look, listen and repeat: nhìn, nghe và nhắc lại. - Point and say: chỉ và nói. - Let’s talk: luyện nói. - Listen and tick: nghe và đánh dấu (v). - Let’s write: luyện viết. - Let’s sing: luyện hát. - Listen and number: nghe và đánh số. - Read and complete: đọc và hoàn thành câu. *Activity 3: Practice. - Asks Ss to retell the English alphabet they’ve learnt. - Writes on the board. A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z - T reads the alphabet (twice). - Guides the Ss to read in chorus sometimes. - Lets Ss read again. - Checks some Ss’. *Activity 4: Production. - Presents some instructions in the book. Then explains the meaning. - Lets Ss to read again twice. - Checks some Ss and corects the mistakes if neccessary. 3. Reinforcement. - Asking Ss to focus on the lesson once again. 4. Home-link. - Asks Ss learn by heart the alphabet and instructions at home. - Prepare the next lesson. |
