I- Aims:
- By the end of the lesson,the students will be able to greet and say goodbye.
1. Skills:
- Speaking skill: asking and answering appropriate questions about the health:
How are you ?
I'm fine, thanks. And you?
- Listening skill: Listen and practice with a partner.
- Language practice: using suitable words related “ Greetings ”.
- Group work skills: working in pair to practice using the language naturally.
2. Knowledge:
- Know the way to make greetings with friends and others according to the time of a day.
2.1.Vocabulary: Morning,Afternoon,Evening,Night,Children,Mom,Bye.
2.2. Structure:
- Greeting with the time: good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night, good bye
- Review: question about health with " you' - " we"
3. Attitude towards:
- Knowing to how to greet and say goodbye with their friends.

Activity 1: Warm- up (3’)

Activity 2: B1. Listen and repeat (10’) | *Purpose: This activity give students know some new words about greetings using in the lesson *Task: - Form of learning: individuals - T introduces some new words - Ss listen, repeat and copy * New word - good morning - good afternoon - good evening - good night - good bye = bye - T asks Ss to look at the picture on page 14 and guides them to use the form of greeting, asks Ss to listen and repeat. - Ss listen and repeat. - T helps Ss know the way to use " hello- hi " ( A) and " good morning, good afternoon, good evening " - Ss take note. * Resource: Textbook. * Evaluation: T asks Ss to read the words then check Ss' pronunciation. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
Activity 3: B2. Practice with a partner (5’)
| *Purpose: This activity helps students practice greeting. *Task: - Form of learning: groupwork. - T asks Ss to look at the pictures on page 15 and ask them give the differences to use the greetings. - Ss look at the picturres and answer. - T asks Ss to work in group of 4 and practice greetings - Ss work in group. - T uses a clock, asks Ss to make greeting following the time - Ss do the task * Evaluation: T gives feed back, check Ss' pronunciation. |
