Contents
1. Warm-up
Aims: to attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and review the previous unit.

T puts Ss into 4 groups. 1 S from
each group sits in the front of the
class, facing their groups.

T explains that T is going to write a
word from the previous unit on the
board.

Ss are not allowed to turn around
to look at the word on the board. 4
groups are not allowed to say,
spell or translate the word.

4 groups try to define, give
examples or mime the words for 4
Ss to guess. Who guesses correctly
will receive a point for his/her
group.

Repeat the process.
HOT SEAT GAME
Suggested words: son, daughter,
uncle, parents, France, Italian,
trousers, trainers, jacket, hat, make-
up, ….

Aims: introduce the objectives of the lesson with a can-do statement.
