I. Objectives
1. Knowledge, skills, attitude:
- Knowledge:
+ To help students understand the reading passage about Ha Long Bay by reading for general ideas and specific information.
+ To introduce some new words related to our world heritage sites and guess the meaning in the context.
+ To help them know more about our world heritage sites .
+ To create a chance for students to exchange opinions about our world heritage sites – Ha Long Bay.
- Skills:
+ To promote students to develop their reading skill.
+ To help students skim the text to get the general idea, guess meaning in context, scan for specific information and passage comprehension
- Attitude:
+ Students are aware of the value of World Heritage Sites to all mankind, including Ha Long Bay.
2. Orientation towards students’ competency development:
- To raise the students’ awareness of searching more information and practising correctly in order to develop students’ language competence, problem-solving.

- Asks some students to go to the board and replace the underlined clauses by an infinitive or infinitive phrase:

3. The first man who was interviewed was entirely unsuitable.
Says: “Last lesson we learned about using participle and to-infinitive clauses. So, before learning the new lesson, I want you to go the board and replace the underlined clauses by an infinitive or infinitive phrase . I will call two of you, … and …”
- Corrects and gives marks.

A. START/ WARM UP ACTIVITY (4ms)
Aims of the activity: - To engage students in the lesson by rearranging the order of puzzle pieces about Ha Long Bay.

- Divides the class into 4 groups to play a mini game. - Gives each group six pieces of a picture of Ha Long Bay and asks them to rearrange the order of these puzzle pieces to form a perfect picture in 1 minute. The group that finishes the fastest will get one point.
Says: “Alright! Now, I have a small activity for you. I will give each group six pieces of a picture and you have to rearrange the order of these to create a perfect picture in 1 minute. Is it clear for you?And the group that finishes the fastest will get one point. Ok 1 minute for you. Let’s start!” - Gives feedbacks and gives marks.

3. What is it famous for?
