ENGLISH 7 UNIT 1: CULTURE INTERESTS Lesson 1: Vocabulary |
I. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- have an overview of the topic “Culture Interests”.
- use vocabulary and grammar points to talk about cultural activities, like and dislike.
1. Knowledge:
* Vocabulary: types of films, things to read, types of dance, musical instruments, types of music
* Grammar: expressions to talk about likes and dislikes
2. Competence:
To know the meaning of the keywords used to talk about cultural activities, and understand the main grammatical points, then do the tasks assigned in the textbook.
3. Quality/Behavior: To teach Ss to be hard-working and attentive in class. Ss have a positive attitude to working in groups, individual work, pair work, cooperative learning and working.
II. TEACHING AIDS:
- Teacher: Grade 7 textbook, Unit 1 (SB p.14, WB p.6-7) , laptop/computer connected to the Internet, loudspeaker, projector/TV, PPT slides…

ACTIVITY 1: * Aims: - To reinforce the types of cultural activities that students have already known. - To teach five types of cultural activities. - To lead into the next activity. * Content: Some brief notes; Some things about cultural activities. * Outcome: Know new words about cultural activities. * Organisation: Teacher’s instructions….
