Passive voice

                       PASSIVE VOICE

I/ The present simple tense. ( passive)

1. Positive

S  +                       V(s/es)           +        O.                                      Ex: She / cleans/ her room.

→    S   + am/ is/ are + V(3/ed)  + Adv(p)   +by O      + Adv (t). → Her room is cleaned by her   

1. Negative

S  +     / don’t/ doesn’t    +    V(inf.)  /        +        O.                          Ex:          

→    S   + am not/ isn’t/ aren’t + V(3/ed)   + Adv(p)     +by O     + Adv (t). 

1. Interrogative

Do  / Does   +      S  +          V(inf.)           +        O?

→   Is/ Are   +         S              + V(3/ed)  + Adv(p)      +by O     + Adv (t)?

II/  The past simple tense ( passive)

1. Positive

S  +                   V(2/ed)           +       O.

→    S   + was / were + V(3/ed)  + Adv(p)  +by O   + Adv (t).

1. Negative

S  +     / didn’t   +    V(inf.)  /        +        O.

→    S   + wasn’t/ weren’t + V(3/ed)   + Adv(p) +by O  + Adv (t).

1. Interrogative

Did   +       S +          V(inf.)           +        O?

→   Was/ Were  +         S              + V(3/ed)   + Adv(p)     +by O  + Adv (t)?

III/ The future simple tense.  And modal verbs: be going to / have to / could ( passive)

1. Positive

S  +  will/ can/ must / should/ may / might  +   V( inf)      +       O.

→    S   + will/ can/ must / should/ may / might  + be + V(3/ed)   + Adv(p)  +by O   + Adv (t).

1. Negative

S  +  will/ can/ must / should/ may / might  + not  +   V( inf)      +       O.

→ S   + will/ can/ must / should/ may / might  + not + be + V(3/ed) + Adv(p)    +by O + Adv (t)

IV/THE PRESENT PERFECT( PASSIVE)

   S       + have/ has     + V(3/ed )        +       O.
