II. Introducing the structure of an English book :
1. This book contains 12 units with 12 subjects that you’ve learnt in grade 6,7 but with the larger information.
2. Each Unit goes or follows the steps: Getting started, closer look 1, closer look 2, communication, skills 1, skills 2 and looking back & project.
3. At the end of each Unit, it is looking back & project. This part is to summarize the vocabulary and grammar structures of a unit.
4. Review after 3 Units is Revision. It revises grammar, function of language in the Units Ss have learnt before.
5. After the 6 units it is the whole grammar summary of grade 9. You must master them well to do the final exam to a high school.
6. The back of your book is pronunciation table of vocabulary in each unit (glossary). It helps you to find the meaning of a new word quickly and conveniently.
III. The way to prepare a lesson well at home:
1. Depending on each Unit, you have to read the content of a lesson well, prepare vocabulary, grammar...
2. According to the parts: getting started, communication, Closer look 1&2. Master the content of these, find new knowledge, find the meaning and the pronunciation of each new word. It is better for you to learn it by heart at home.
3. After a lesson, relearn the lesson, learn the vocabulary by heart and write them correctly and do the exercises in your Exercise Book.
4. You must master the main and basic grammar notes well. They are very important. You must master their theories and then do the exercise.
4. If you have more free time, read reference books, listen to the tape or listen to the radio, watch the programme of teaching English on TV on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.
5. You can practise speaking English everyday, or practise English with your classmates at class.
