ACTIVITY 1.

Read the following learning objectives and main activities in a Vocabulary lesson for

grade 6. (Tiếng Anh 6, Unit 9, A closer look 1).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

Recognize adjectives related to cities, food, people, weather and nouns related to

places in cities

2.

Use appropriate adjectives nouns of places to talk in short simple sentences about

cities and aspects of cities such as food, people, weather.

3.

Identify the sounds /əʊ/ and /aʊ/ in isolation and in sentences.

4.

Pronounce /əʊ/ and /aʊ/ correctly in self-articulated sentences.

MAIN ACTIVITIES IN THE LESSON:

Warm-up: Pictures of cities. Students guess what city it is in each picture.

Presentation of words/phrases for places: Pictures + Checking: matching pictures

(exercise 3)

Game: Pass the ball. T plays the song, ss pass the ball. When T stops the music, the

student holding the ball has to say one word they have just learnt.

Presentation of 2 sounds.

Exercise 4: Listen and write words

Exercise 5: Listen and repeat.

Game: Slap the sounds: Two teams. Listen to the word and slap on the sounds on the

board.
