A. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Talk about fun activities they are going to do in London.
- Increase the English cultural understanding.
- Develop the skills of self-control and independent learning, communication and cooperation, problem-solving and creativity.
- LANGUAGE FOCUS:
- Vocabulary: gain vocabulary items (capsule, bargain, work of art)
- Grammar: use the structure “be going to + V”

Activity 1: Networks
- List some fun activities to brainstorm about the theme. - Ask students some activities they often do in the free time. - Students watch the video, then talk about what they have seen. - Teacher gives feedback, then links to the theme: ENTERTAINMENT

Activity 2: Teaching new words - T introduces the new words. - Have students listen to and repeat the new word. (choral &individual) - Explain the meaning of the new words. Activity 4:Exercise 1 (p.102-103) - Teacher asks students to look at the pictures and read the verbs in the list. - Students work in groups, look at the pictures and fill in the gaps.

Activity 6:Speaking - Imagine you are in London. Say what you are going to do this weekend. - Set the scene: “Imagine you are in London and say what you are going to do this weekend.” - Explain the task and ask two students to model the example. - Ask students to work in pairs and discuss fun activities to do in London following the example. - Monitor the activity around the class - Play the video for students and elicit their comments. - Have some pairs demonstrate the situation in front of the class, using the words of the lesson. - Give feedback. Activity 7: Guessing game - Teacher shows some pictures of fun activities and interesting places. - Students guess and say the names of the activities and places. | 3.
